Greca Barman Wins Westchester Wine & Food Festival’s Bartender Contest
White Plains Restaurant's Barman Takes Top honors in June 8 competition
WHITE PLAINS, NY (JUNE, 2022) – Frankie Rodriguez, Beverage Director at Greca Mediterranean Kitchen + Bar in White Plains, won the 4th Annual Bartender Shake-Off on June 8th after competing against Westchester’s top mixologists. Rodriguez’s concoction, Frankie Goes to Playland, beat cocktails by David Burgos of La Casa Bronxville, Giselle Burdiez of Smokehouse Tailgate Grill, Colleen Cushman of Hudson Social and Lisa Foster of Gleason’s.
The contest took place during Westchester Magazine‘s Wine & Food Festival’s Party on the Pier in Playland.
Rodriguez is a legendary NYC barman, having spearheaded the city’s cocktail renaissance as General Manager and Bar Manager of the famous Death & Co. in the East Village.

Located at 189 Main Street and Renaissance Square Greca's management team is led by Constantine “Dino” Kolitsas, who opened the first Greca Mediterranean Kitchen + Bar in Litchfield County, Connecticut in 2019 to rave reviews and multiple statewide awards. The team includes Chef Kosta Ndreu who honed his craft at a number of fabled New York Greek restaurants, including Ethos, Trata and Kyma; General Manager Rachel Cosgrove, who served as the Assistant General Manager and Event Coordinator at BLT Steak; and legendary NYC barman Frankie Rodriguez.
