Horses on Fisher Avenue, Country Mist Performs at Noon and a Scotch Tasting at the Westchester

1.) National Life Group General Agent John Blumberg is taking his team of four draft horses to his White Plains office, located at 15 Fisher Ln., on today as part of an old-fashioned barbecue. It's for his neighbors and it's free. A news release with details and a photo of John's team are attached. The event is expected to last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2.) Country Mist is set to perform noon at the Renaissance Plaza, located at Main Street & Mamaroneck Avenue, as part of the City of White Plains “Noon Day Concerts” series.

3.) New York state Assemblyman David Buchwald will have a discussion with senior residents at 2:30 p.m. today at The Bristal assisted living facility in White Plains, as well as older adults who reside throughout Westchester County, regarding legislative issues that currently affect them and their families, including health care insure options and housing options. The seminar is free and open to the public. The Bristal is located at 305 North Street.

4.) The White Plains Library, located at 100 Martine Ave., is hosting its afterschool storytime for  children in kindergarten through second grade with a craft and cookie snack today from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the start of the program
