Foodie Card, a community-driven, savings and rewards membership with over 150 participating restaurants in Westchester, is offering an exclusive free 12-month trial for Westchester Patch readers. Those who sign up get 10% off their meals at participating restaurants, including the 1500 establishments throughout the Tri-State Area and South Florida

The dining subscription service that offers savings and rewards while donating meals to people in need has launched in Westchester. The service was founded in 2018 and has witnessed a surge in memberships over the past few years. Here’s everything you need to know about the program foodies are raving about (and a complimentary year-long membership so you can try it for yourself!)

In addition to receiving 10% off their entire meal at participating restaurants, including the 150 Westchester-based establishments that have already joined, their rewards program is an added bonus. One point is earned for every dollar saved and can be later redeemed for gift cards to top retailers like Amazon, Target, VISA, Starbucks, HomeGoods, AMC Theaters, and more!

For only $29.99 per year, foodies enjoy these benefits by using a digital card, which is available through Foodie Card’s mobile app, or a physical copy sent in the mail. The membership price will be waived for the first 12 months with our exclusive Westchester Patch offer. With every purchase and renewal of a Foodie Card, a full day’s worth of meals is also donated to people in need.

When Foodie Card launched in Westchester, it partnered with Feeding Westchester, the county’s largest nonprofit hunger relief organization, to provide meals for those in need from proceeds of every membership sold and renewed.

“We’re so glad that Foodie Card has expanded in Westchester and committed to helping our mission to alleviate hunger in this area. We are confident that the program is a great addition to our community” says Karen C. Erren, President and CEO of Feeding Westchester.

Food lovers can enjoy tons of popular Westchester restaurants that are proud Foodie Card partners. The 10% discount is honored at local establishments such as Donjito (Mamaroneck), Sambal (Irvington), Croton Tapsmith (Croton-on-Hudson), Fratelli’s Trattoria (Croton-on-Hudson), IHOP (Hartsdale and Mohegan Lake), Fortina Pizza (Armonk, Rye Brook, Yonkers, and Stamford, CT), The Taco Project (Pleasantville, Bronxville, Yonkers, and Tarrytown), Patsy’s Pizzeria (New Rochelle), Bareburger (Rye), Dive Oyster House (Briarcliff Manor), and Little Drunken Chef (White Plains) among more than a hundred others.

“Our program helps people save money and support their community. Foodie Card members drive business to local restaurants and provide meals to people in their area,” says CEO Jared Katz. “Community has always been at the core of everything we do, and we are all currently facing a challenging time. Budgets are stretched thin, businesses are struggling, and people are hungry. Now more than ever, Foodie Card is needed as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“We are here to encourage Westchester residents to ‘dine with purpose.’ Many people don’t realize that delivery apps charge restaurants up to 30% of the total bill. You help save restaurants money when you dine-in or pickup, even with the Foodie Card discount,” adds Foodie Card CEO Jared Katz.

Before becoming more established in Westchester, Foodie Card solidified a strong presence on Long Island and later expanded into Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, South Florida, and parts of New Jersey. The service has donated over 50,000 meals through Island Harvest, a Long-Island based food bank, and City Harvest, NYC’s largest food rescue organization.
