Kenneth Chamberlain Jr., Blacks In Law Enforcement To Appear at Council Meeting
They will be speaking to the White Plains Common Council about the police department's procedures and oversight.

Kenneth Chamberlain Jr. will attend the public discussion portion of the White Plains Common Council meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at to express his “outrage” over the grand jury’s decision to not indict White Plains Police in the Nov. 19 shooting of his father Kenneth Chamberlain Sr.
Here’s what he wrote on the “Justice for Kenneth Chamberlain Sr.” Facebook page:
"The New York Daily News reports that Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore said the use of the N-word was meant to 'distract' the emotionally disturbed man, but she condemned the tactic. In all fairness I am not sure if it was the PBA President or Janet was the first to make this statement. However I would think that using the word NIGGER would not distract but would in fact antagonize an individual meaning to provoke or to act in opposition.

Again a Police Officers job is to diffuse a situation not create one. So again I am asking that anyone in the White Plains NY area please come out to City Hall in White Plains today at 7pm sharp (they start promptly) as we express outrage at the Grand Jury’s decision not to indict and the implication that the word Nigger was used as a tactic to distract. In fact I take that back they distracted him so they could kill him.
Kenneth Chamberlain Jr."

According to a press release from the Blacks In Law Enforcement of America, members of that organization, the Network for Police Accountability, clergy and community leaders will also attend the meeting to behalf of Officer Michael Hannon who is accusing Assistance Police Chief Anne Fitzsimmons of allegedly assaulting him, and questioning why she hasn’t been reprimanded.
