Lights Off for Earth Hour!

Ridgeway Elementary School students turned off the lights in their school Friday, in honor of Earth Hour.

Imagine if everyone in White Plains turned off their lights at the same time.

Thousands of lights instantaneously switching off, leaving the busy city bathed in a quiet darkness as a pledge of devotion to the environment.

students made their pledge on Friday, as the school switched off its lights for the last 15 minutes of day in honor of Saturday’s Earth Hour.

People, businesses, government and other institutions around the world will switch off their lights for Earth Hour Sat., March 26 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., to bring awareness to conservation and sustainability.
