LoHud: Kitchen Grease Ignited Lafayette St. Fire

The website reports that two fire fighters were injured in the blaze

 

The White Plains Fire Bureau determined that the cause of a fire at 24 Lafayette on Saturday, which injured two fire fighters, was started in the kitchen by cooking grease, according to LoHud.com.

Queens contractor Raymond Cotto, who was working on a kitchen at 20 Lafayette St., rescued a resident from the roof during the blaze that forced nine individuals to evacuate the multifamily home.
