Police: One Theft Not Enough For White Plains Man

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

After getting past store security with more than $200 worth of cologne earlier this month, police say a White Plains man was caught returning to the same store this week to steal seven more boxes.

Store security at Sears called police Tuesday at about 4:30 p.m. after they say the 47-year-old White Plains man walked out of the store with seven boxes of cologne valued at $403 tucked under his jacket.

Security then checked surveillance video and noticed that the same man appeared to have walked out of the store on Feb. 4 with five boxes of cologne valued at $234.

Police charged the man with two separate counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and took him into custody.

The 47-year-old man was held on $500 bail.
