Man Accused of Stealing Groceries

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A 58-year-old White Plains man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police say he bagged $180 worth of groceries in shopping bags and tried to walk out of the at 154 Westchester Avenue.

Store security stopped the man on his way out after noticing he had walked throughout the store and placed numerous items in the bags.

The man was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and released on $500 bail.
