Man Arrested After Using Fake Name, Police Say

White Plains teen found with pilfered credit cards, cops say, and charged with misdemeanors.

A White Plains man clinging to several swiped credit cards used a fake name and fictitious appointment to enter a White Plains office, police said.

Calling himself "Travon Johnson," the man signed in at the front desk of 44 South Broadway last Friday at 5:15 p.m., telling security he had a meeting with a woman named Renee Johnson on the 18th floor.

When employees on the 18th floor saw the man wandering about, they asked who he was there to see. His response raised a red flag, cops said —no one in the office knew a Renee Johnson.
