Massive White Plains Hospital Expansion Breaks Ground
The 10-story, approximately 500,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art expansion is expected to open in 2028, builder Suffolk said.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The future of White Plains Hospital is a step closure to being realized, after the builder celebrated a key milestone.
The builder, Suffolk has announced the groundbreaking of White Plains Hospital's new hospital expansion. The 10-story, approximately 500,000-square-foot expansion promises to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the Hudson Valley's more than two million residents, when open in 2028.

Suffolk, known for its innovative construction methods and track record managing complex healthcare projects, said the expansion will increase licensed bed capacity from 292 to 436, ultimately adding 240 private rooms, 144 of which will open in 2028. The expansion will create a dedicated operating room floor with space for 10 additional state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with the latest technology to support the increasingly complex care the hospital has built its reputation on.
