Moms Talk Q&A: How Many Activities Are Too Many Activities?

Moms, dads, grandparents and the diverse families who make up our community will have a new resource for questions about local neighborhood schools, the best pediatricians, 24-hour pharmacies and the thousands of other issues that arise while raising children.

 Moms Talk will also be the place to drop in for a talk about the latest parenting hot topic. Do you know of local moms raising their children in the Tiger Mother's way and is it the best way? Where can we get information on local flu shot clinics for children? 

So grab a cup of coffee and settle in as we start the conversation with today’s topic: How many activities are too many activities? How much is enough?

Most parents want nothing more than to raise happy, healthy, well-adjusted kids. But it's also extremely difficult to see the line between what's good enough vs. too-much-of-a good thing.

Let's take activities. How much is enough? Have you ever gotten strange looks from other parents because your child was signed up for a lot of activities? Too few?

Is it entirely based on the child's personality and the family finances, or is there a line where its just too much no matter how much the kid loves it, because it takes away from family down time?
