Rally to Save the Middle Class

The Civil Service Employees Associations (CSEA) and others will gather Mon., April 4 at 5 p.m. in front of the , 148 Martine Ave., for their “Rally to Save the Middle Class,” to protest political efforts that are leading to the elimination of a working middle class. Protester will put layoffs, tax breaks for the super rich, pension and seniority reform on blast. The Kensington Has An Open House

 The Kensington—an “enhanced assisted living” facility at 100 Maple Ave.—held its open house in March at its model residences. The Kensington is a senior citizen home that has licensed nursed on call around the click. The facility has 87 suites, on five floors—two of which are designated for residents with memory impairment—and is still under construction.

City/School Meetings

The White Plains Common Council will meet Mon., April 4 at 7 p.m. at , click here for the agenda. The White Plains Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5 Homeside Ln. the same night at 7:30 p.m.

Spence-Chapin's adoption specialists will hold a question and answer session, on Mon., April 4 at 6 p.m. at the , on how to you cam adopt a child from Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America through their agency. The event is free. Click here for more information.

Mothers and More

Join the local chapter of Mothers and More for their first mom’s coffee. The ladies are meeting Wed., April 6 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at . The event is free, but RSVP by April 4 to tlunde@optonline.net. You can listen to a presentation on wholesome new foods at the grocery store or just meet up with some fellow moms for a chat.
