Neighborhood Know-It-All: WP Parking Officers Cry Quota, Former Mayor to Appeal Conviction, Presentation on Budget

1.) Parking Enforcement Officers Reprimanded for Ticketing Performance
The Journal News has reported that as the City is on its way to surpassing the $5 million in parking fines collected in 2010—its parking enforcement officers are say they are being bullied into meeting ticket quotas by the City’s Parking Department.
City Parking Department officials say there is no ticket quota, “nothing new going on here,” and that the parking employees are not meeting performance goals—according to The Journal News, who also reported that White Plains has already collected $4.9 million in ticket fines, with four months left of the fiscal year. 2.) Recycling/Sanitation on Holiday Schedule
Garbage/recycling pickup is on a holiday schedule this week,—Monday/Thursday pickup will take pace on Monday/Wednesday, and Tuesday/Friday pickup will be on Tuesday/Thursday. Paper will not be picked up on Wednesday.

According to the White Plains Hospital Facebook page, at six weeks into their “—100 hospital employees lost a combined 530 pounds and have walked 7,935 miles (more than a quarter of the way around the world.)

The winners at the end of six weeks are Team 27—which included members from the engineering, patient accounts, and ambulatory surgery departments. Congratulations White Plains Hospital!
4.) Former Mayor to Appeal Conviction in Domestic Violence Case
According to The Journal News, the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division in Brooklyn will handle former White Plains mayor Adam Bradley’s appeal of five misdemeanour and violation charges of attempted assault, criminal contempt and harassment. Part-time Bedford Hills attorney Eddie Still will represent Bradley, who resigned in February.
After Bradley, who in February, was c by Judge Susan Capeci, who presided over the domestic violence trial. Bradley said the truth would come out during the appeal, in a statement posted .
