Police Investigate Self-Inflicted Gun Shot Suicide on Ross Street

White Plains Police are investigating the suicide death of an elderly White Plains man who shot himself in the head Friday morning just off the roadway on Ross Street, on a grassy patch near Warren Street. 

A passerby by reported finding the body around 10 a.m. A gun was found near the scene of the incident. Police have not released the man’s identity, as they are still trying to contact family members., but did confirm that he lived close to where he was found.
