Police Looking for Answers on Cabo Shooting
Police are searching for information on Cabo Lounge shooting

White Plains Police are searching for suspects in an investigating of a shooting at Cabo Lounge Saturday night that left two with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they observed a large crowd at the Mamaroneck Avenue club and requested that the White Plains Fire Department conduct an inspection for over capacity around 2 a.m. As the fire department, who were accompanied by police, were doing an inspection—a man came running out of the club claiming to be shot in the leg. Police went in to shut the club down, when they found a second man with a graze wound.
“We’re leaning toward one shot being fired, and the second individual hit by ricochet,” said Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.

As club patrons exited the club, several small fights broke out in a nearby parking lot. The fights were quickly contained by the large number of officers on the scene. A man and woman were injured in separate fights—an arrest was made for the assault on the woman, and the male’s claim is being investigated. Police said they do not believe the fights were related to the shooting at this time.
“My attitude is that if you have a licensed premise [to sell alcohol]—you are responsible for the security of your patrons and your staff, and we’re going to hold you to task on that,” said Chong, who said the department has sent a letter regarding the incident to the state’s liquor authority.
