Police: Man Boots Out Cop Car Window

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A City man in custody facing a petty larceny charge got himself in deeper trouble Monday evening when police say he booted out the window of a moving police cruiser.

Anthony Rutiglan, 27, was charged with felony criminal mischief for the incident. Police say Rutiglan asked repeatedly to have the window opened and, when the request was denied, he kicked out the back right window of the police cruiser.

Rutiglan had been arrested at the at 1 City Pl. at about 6:48 p.m. Security there told police Rutiglan walked out of the store with several small items valued at about $56.

Rutiglan, who lives at 33 Havell St., was held for court.
