Police: Man's Dispute With a Child Ends With Arrest

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A man who told police he was upset because of a fight between his son and another boy faces misdemeanor charges after police say he threw the other child to the ground during an argument.

The victim's mother called police after she said a 53-year-old White Plains man grabbed the her son by the sweater and threw him to the ground at about 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 3. She said the 53-year-old also threatened her 12-year-old child during the altercation.

Police believe the man was upset because the woman's son was fighting with his son.

The man was charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors. He was booked at police headquarters and held for arraignment.
