Police: Pot Deal Broken Up on Rathbun Ave.

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police following a suspicious vehicle cited a White Plains teenager who was buying marijuana on Rathbun Ave. in White Plains, police say.

The 18-year-old driver was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

A car occupied by two males was driving slowly at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 29, when the vehicle stopped and another male approached the vehicle, police say. The male handed the driver a small object in exchange for money and the vehicle drove off, according to an arrest report.

Police say they followed the vehicle to S Lexington Ave. and conducted a traffic stop when the vehicle turned onto Maple Ave. Police say the driver admitted to having a small amount of pot in the vehicle.

The driver was cited and released.
