Police: Skateboarding Teen Resisted Arrest

A White Plains teenager who yelled at police and ignored requests to calm down after trespassing on private property has been charged with two misdemeanors, police say.
Security at a property at 525 N Broadway in White Plains called police at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 after spotting a group of teenagers skateboarding on the building's roof. When police arrived three teenagers—one male and two females—were spotted walking away from the property.

The male, who was carrying a skateboard, yelled at police and ignored requests to calm down, according to an arrest report. The male, 18, was placed under arrest, while the two females were allowed to go home.
The 18-year-old was charged with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest—both misdemeanors—and held for arraignment.
