Police: Trespasser Caught With Oxycodone

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

A White Plains man faces felony drug possession charges after police say he was carrying more than two-dozen oxycodone pills while trespassing in a Fisher Avenue housing complex.

Police patrol noticed 48-year-old Tony Carey looking confused while walking around the Winbrook Housing Complex at about 1:30 a.m. Friday morning. According to police, Carey said was in the complex to visit a friend on the sixth floor. When the occupant of that apartment denied knowing Carey, police placed Carey under arrest.

During a search, police say they found an unlabeled pill bottle in Carey's front left pocket containing 25 oxycodone pills.

Carey, of 82 Bank Street, was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance along with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. He was processed at police headquarters and held for court.
