Police: Woman Charged After Diner Fight

Police don't know what was said during an early morning dispute at the in White Plains Sunday, but it was enough to start an altercation involving several people, police say.

According to arrest reports, a conversation between a 33-year-old man and 27-year-old woman at about 3:30 a.m. led to punches being thrown between the two at the diner on East Post Road. Police believe the male said something to the female, causing her to take a swing at him at a table in the diner. The man retaliated in self-defense, according to reports.

Police believe both parties were intoxicated.

The man and woman were separated once police arrived and the woman was escorted from the scene. Still upset, however, the woman broke away from police once she was outside and tried to punch another person, arrest reports say.

After the second fight police charged the woman with disorderly conduct, a violation, and transported her to police headquarters.

The woman, who is from White Plains, was released on $100 bail.
