Police: Woman Fights Ban From Mall, Resists Arrest

A Bronx woman irate over receiving a ban from a City shopping mall was arrested Saturday after she created a disturbance and made a scene at a nearby parking lot, police say.
The 22-year-old woman was handed a notice banning her from the White Plains for previous behavior at about 6 p.m. Saturday. Security called police after the woman began arguing and cursing in the mall, police say.
When police arrived they say the woman grabbed the ban notice from an officers hand, crumpling it, and throwing it on the ground.

Police say the woman then tried to grab her identification card the officer was using to take down her information. Throughout the incident, police say the woman was cursing and making a scene.
Police arrested the woman, charging her with two counts of disorderly conduct, violations. The woman violently flailed her arms and resisted while police tried to handcuff her, resulting in an additional charge of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

The woman was transported to police headquarters and held for court.
