Police: Woman Takes Neighbors Car After Dispute

Following an argument with her 84-year-old neighbor, a 46-year-old White Plains woman faces a misdemeanor charge after she decided to get back at him by taking his car for a joy ride, police say.
The man and woman, who live in different apartments at 15 Odell Avenue, were arguing at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday when the man asked the woman to leave his apartment and to remove all of her belongings.
After she left, the man noticed his 1995 Honda Accord that had been parked in front of the building was missing and he called police. He was taken into police headquarters where he provided a statement.

About four hours later, the man said a friend spotted the woman parking the Honda near the apartment complex.
When the man saw the woman returning to her apartment, he called police.

Police say when they arrived the woman she was still carrying the man's keys. She was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Police held the woman for court the following day without bail; she was then extradited to Pleasantville because of an active warrant from that jurisdiction.
