See Which Westchester Beaches And Pools Will Be Open For Heatwave
You are going to want to cool off, and the county is opening all the the best swimming holes in response to potentially dangerous temps.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Beach season is coming a few days early this year thanks to a historic heatwave headed in our direction.
Due to the expected heatwave this week, two Westchester County beaches and two Westchester County Pools will be open for residents to cool off.
From Wednesday, June 19 to Sunday, June 23, the following beaches will be open:

- Croton Point Beach in Croton-on-Hudson, 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle, 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
From Wednesday, June 19 to Friday, June 21, the following pools will be open:
- Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains, 1 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Sprain Ridge Pool in Yonkers, 1 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
The last entry for all facilities will be 6 p.m.

"Having the opportunity to stay cool during a heatwave is important and I thank the Westchester County Parks Department for being able to open up four facilities to help our community," Westchester County Executive George Latimer said.
Proof of Westchester County residency is required at Saxon Woods Pool, Sprain Ridge Pool and Glen Island Beach. Admission fees apply and parking fees apply at Croton Point and Glen Island Beaches.
"I’m so proud of my staff for coming together to open up and provide this necessary service to residents," Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, Kathy O’Connor said.
