Showcase Cinema De Lux In White Plains To Close

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The 15-screen Showcase Cinema de Lux at the City Center in White Plains will be closing its doors.

The final day the movie house will be open is Sunday, Oct. 29, according to reporting by the Westfair Business Journal.

White Plains Mayor Tom Roach told the Business Journal that the news was said but not surprising, adding that he understood talks with possible new tenants are ongoing.

Showcase Cinema de Lux has two other locations in the Hudson Valley at the Cross County Center and the Ridge Hill mall, both in Yonkers.
