Stepinac Senior Commits To Play Harvard Football
School officials said Jack Donahoe of White Plains was approached by five Ivy League universities in one week.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — An Archbishop Stepinac High School senior committed Thursday to play football for Harvard University.
Jack Donahoe of White Plains chose Harvard after being approached within the space of a week by five top Ivy League universities, something Vice Principal for Academics and Curriculum Frank Portanova called " a rare achievement for any high school student."
He also received offers from Yale, Princeton, UPENN and Cornell.

As a member of Stepinac's championship Crusaders varsity football team, the 6-foot, 2-inch, 190-pound Donahoe has played an an effective safety, according to school officials.
In three years of play, he recorded 40 solo tackles — 68 total — as well as two interceptions.

Academically, Donahoe attained a 4.1 cumulative GPA and has been a member of Stepinac's Honors Academy which provides students with opportunities for advanced studies in engineering, finance/economics, health sciences and law.
He has also been a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Math National Honor Society and made the first honor roll in nine successive trimesters.
Archbishop Stepinac High School is located in White Plains.
