Nordstrom Worker Accused of Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Security at  has accused one of the store's employees of using an item-exchange scheme to steal almost $300.

Police charged a 24-year-old female employee with petty larceny on July 10 after security reported the incident. The employee had taken a customer's blouse and entered it into the store's system as a returned item, police say. The suspect then gave the shirt back to its owner and credited the return to a gift card she used to make purchases, according to an arrest report.

The woman took $298.03, according to the report. She was taken to police headquarters where she was processed.
