Theft Leads to Drug Arrest, Police Say

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 42-year-old Bronx man faces a misdemeanor drug possession charge after police say they found an oxycodone pill in his pocket after he was caught shoplifting at .

Store security told police they caught the man stealing two shirts with a total value of $78 from the Westchester Avenue store at about 8 p.m. Saturday night. While searching the man's pocket police say they found the green pill hidden in a yellow container.

The man faces charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both misdemeanors. He was held on $500 bail.
