Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.

Studio Tour Welcome Table Greeters
RiverArts is hosting its annual Studio Tour in the rivertowns featuring more than 80 open art studios. Volunteers are needed to oversee the welcome table, hand out tour maps, and direct guests toward the art studios. This project is perfect for volunteers 16+.
Date: Nov. 4-Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Drivers for Seniors
Gramatan Village helps adults aged 55+ to remain independent and engaged in their communities. Many of these older adults do not have transportation access, so volunteers are needed to help provide short rides to and from appointments. Volunteers must be 21+, own a dependable vehicle, and have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Front Desk Volunteers
Front Desk Volunteers serve as the first point of contact at Guiding Eyes for the Blind's office and they assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including answering incoming calls, managing packages and visitors, shipping guide dog equipment, and providing support to the guide dog training department. Volunteers must be 18+ and feel comfortable around large, active dogs.
Date: Weekly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
