Westchester 2023 General Election Early, Absentee Voting Info

Any Westchester County registered voter is eligible to cast a ballot at any of the 24 designated early voting locations.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — On Tuesday, Nov. 7, registered voters in Westchester County will have an opportunity to weigh in on several races, including the county Board of Legislators, some mayoral and supervisor races and other local elected positions.

As in the past, there will be opportunities to vote ahead of time via absentee ballot or at early voting locations.

The early voting period for the 2023 General Election is from Oct. 28 to Nov. 5. Absentee ballots must be postmarked or turned in to the Westchester Board of Elections or any polling site by 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Registration Deadlines

There is still time to register to vote in the General Election. The last day to submit a voter registration application to the Board of Elections for the General Election is Oct. 23. The last day a change of address must be received by the Board of Elections for the General Election is also Oct. 23.

Absentee Voting Deadlines

  • Oct. 23 is the last day for Boards of Elections to receive applications or letters of application by mail or online portal for the general ballot.
  • Nov. 6 is the last day for an applicant or agent to apply in person at the Board of Elections for the General Election absentee ballot.
  • Nov. 7 is the last day to postmark the General Election absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Nov. 14.
  • Nov. 7 is the last day to deliver the General Election absentee ballot in person to the Board of Elections or at any poll site throughout the county, by the close of the polls on election day.

Military/Special Federal/UOCAVA Absentee Voters Deadline

  • Oct. 28 is the last day for Boards of Elections to RECEIVE applications for Military/Special Federal/UOCAVA absentee ballot for general if not previously registered.
  • Oct. 31 is the last for Boards of Elections to RECEIVE application for Military/Special Federal/UOCAVA absentee ballot for general if already registered.
  • Nov. 6 is the last day to apply personally for Military ballot for general if previously registered.
  • Nov. 7 is the last day to postmark Military/Special Federal/UOCAVA ballot for the general. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Nov. 20.
