Westchester County Parks Conservation Receives Fishing Advisory Grant
The grant will help to educate the public about fishing and fish consumption.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Westchester County Parks Conservation division received a grant from the state of New York for the Hudson River Fish Advisory Outreach Project.
The division was awarded $15,000 per year through the end of 2023.
The project's mission is to educate the public about fishing and fish consumption, and its accompanying advisories and regulations, by appointing ambassadors to provide information at county parks, beginning with Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson in 2022.

"Fishing is a common pastime in Westchester County, and it is important that those who actively fish are educated and prepared," said County Executive George Latimer. "I am confident the Westchester County Parks Conservation Division and its ambassadors will provide the community with all necessary information."
