Yonkers, NY – November 20, 2025 – Westchester Disabled On the Move, Inc. (WDOM) today announced it will host an essential workshop for families and caregivers focused on navigating and obtaining services that allow elderly and disabled individuals to remain safely and independently in their homes.
The free workshop, titled "Long-Term Care in 2026" will provide vital information on the programs available through various government and non-profit organizations. It is designed to empower caregivers, family members, and consumers with the knowledge needed to access long-term care, personal care, and support services.
"The desire to remain at home is nearly universal, and with the right support, it is achievable for most people," said Charles Italiano, Esq. Deputy Executive Director of Westchester Disabled On the Move who will conduct the workshop. "This workshop directly addresses the confusion and frustration many families face when trying to find and secure the appropriate care. Our goal is to demystify the process and help everyone who needs assistance access it effectively."

- Eligibility requirements for key New York State and Westchester County programs.
