Westchester Issues Traffic Alert In Effect Today Until Spring 2025
Bridge work in White Plains will create road closures and detours for cars and pedestrians, until its completion next year.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Westchester County Department of Public Works has issued a traffic advisory that goes into effect today and will continue until next spring.
The county said that rehabilitation of the Grant Avenue Bridge over the Central Westchester Parkway will disrupt traffic patterns well into the future. Grant Avenue will be closed between Clinton Street and Beech Street. Pedestrian traffic will continue to be permitted until the end of June.
The Central Westchester Parkway northbound and southbound right lanes will be closed near the bridge.

Drivers are being asked to use posted detours:
- Eastbound Grant Avenue will be detoured up N. Broadway right onto Orchard Street and right onto Beech Street.
- Westbound Grant Avenue will be detoured up Beech Street left onto Orchard Street and left onto N. Broadway.
The Westchester Department of Public Works announced that work will begin today, Wednesday, June 5, and continue through the Spring of 2025.
