Westchester to Honor Peter Becerra of White Plains

The criminal investigator—with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, who was recently assigned to the Joint Terrorist Task Force—passed away on May 18.

For more than 17 years White Plains Native Son Peter Becerra worked as a criminal investigator with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, and was recently assigned to the Joint Terrorist Task Force to work closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

However, cancer was one killer that the 52-year-old Archbishop Stepinac High School graduate could not help bring to justice—he passed away from the illness on May 18, surrounded by his loved ones.

Becerra, son of Isabel (Calero) and the late Gannet Graphic Artist Frank Becerra, is survived by his wife Tracey of 27-years and his five children, Stephani, Matthew, Lauren, Kyle and Taryn.
