White Plains Man Accused of DWI

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 39-year-old White Plains man was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday night after police say he was caught driving with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

Police noticed the man's gray Honda Civic driving along Westchester Avenue with a headlight out at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday night. Police initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued onto South Kensico Avenue then onto Main Street. After a few more turns the vehicle eventually ending up in a parking lot at 30 Lake Street.

At this time police say the driver stumbled out of the vehicle despite police orders to stay in the car. After police determined the driver to be drunk, he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

The 39-year-old man was charged with an additional misdemeanor after police say his blood-alcohol level was more than .18. He was processed at police headquarters and held for arraignment.
