White Plains Proposes 5 % Property Tax Increase

The City of White Plains revealed its proposed budget this week. Here is a rundown of facts on the 2012-13-city budget:

• General Fund Budget: $152.4 million
• Property Tax Rate Increase: 5%
• Tax Rate: $184.92 per $1,000 of assessed value
• Median Taxed Assessed Value of a White Plains Home: $13,400
