White Plains, Westchester To Mark Sept. 11 With Ceremonies

WHITE PLAINS, NY — There will be many memorial services around the Hudson Valley honoring those lost in the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Here are a couple of the ceremonies that have been announced.
The city of White Plains will host its annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Liberty Park, Lake Street, the site of the city’s permanent 9/11 Memorial. There will be messages from Mayor Tom Roach and White Plains Public Safety Commissioner David Chong, a wreath-laying and placement of flower bouquets by members of the White Plains Common Council and a moment of silence for reflection. The rain location will be the Ebersole Ice Rinnk at Delfino Park on Lake Street.
Westchester County’s September 11th Memorial Ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. RSVP is encouraged.
