White Plains Woman Hit By Car Dies

A 54-year-old woman was struck by a car while crossing South Lexington Avenue near Denison Street around 8 p.m. on Thursday. Velma Richardson passed away from her injuries on Friday.

A 64-year-old Pelham man was driving the white Volvo that hit Richardson. Police have conducted a full accident report and say there will be no criminal charges in the case, since speed or drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident.

According, to LoHud.com Ricardson’s wake is at 10 a.m. on Wed. April 13 at Calvary Baptist Church, 188 Orawaupum St. The funeral will take place at 11 a.m.
