White Plains Youth to Receive 104 Bikes for Kids
The following is a press release from the City of White Plains

Barnum Financial Group, an office of Met Life and the Foundation for Life, Inc., will present 104 deserving children with new bicycles and helmets during its Annual “Bikes for Kids” event, Saturday, May 12. The program will be held at the opening of the White Plains Loucks Track Meet at 12:00 p.m. at White Plains High School.
This is the third year of the Bikes for Kids program in White Plains.
Mayor Roach said, “We are fortunate in White Plains to have so many strong partners in the business community like Barnum Financial Group who are invested in and actively working with us to make our City stronger.”
Youth Bureau Director Frank Williams added, “We want to thank Barnum Financial Group for their generous contribution to White Plains youth. These youngsters and their families are very appreciative. The City supports this effort by Bikes for Kids to provide healthy outlets for our youth, as it complements the Youth Bureau’s mission perfectly.”
The Bikes for Kids program was launched in San Diego, CA as a way to help children grow up healthy and safe. Bikes for Kids has since expanded to Utah, Minnesota, Louisiana and Connecticut.
