Windsor Terrace-Kensington Agenda: Dolly Parton Covers, Greenmarket and Rooftop Films

Local events around town for everyone.

It's the weekend – and for now, the heat wave is over! Here are some outdoor events (and one indoor) to partake in now that the sun is, well, less brutal.

- Enjoy the Greenmarket at Fresh Army Plaza on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shop for fresh produce and sample wine in Prospect Park.

- Help the Lefferts staff pull weeds and help water their gardens and berry patches from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lefferts Historic House on Saturday. Bring a hat and a bottle of water. Suggested donation is $3.

- Rooftop Films will present a series of short films including Eva Weber’s documentary “Black Out.” on Saturday night. Tickets are $13 online or at the door. Doors are at 8 p.m.

- Check out a Dolly Parton cover band, Doll Parts, at Union Hall Friday night. They’ll be followed by the DeLorean Sisters, who have “taken to reimagining synth-pop hits and keytar karaoke staples as old timey, early 20th century Americana.” Tickets are $10. Doors are at 9 p.m.

- Don’t forget about Smorgasburg, which happens every Saturday on the Williamsburg waterfront from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. About 100 vendors come every weekend with packaged and prepared foods and other food-related items.
