Kensington Home Catches Fire, One Injured
FDNY responded to a blaze in a private home on E 8th St. Saturday evening

A fire broke out on the first floor of a private home in Kensington on Saturday evening, leaving one responder injured, according to FDNY.
Firefighters responded to a 911 call that a blaze had taken root at 601 E 8th St., between Ditmas and 18th Avenues, at approximately 6:22 p.m. on Saturday, October 13.Â
The fire was brought down by 6:47 p.m., FDNY said. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment.

FDNY stated that at this time nothing was deemed suspicious about the origin of the fire and it is not currently under investigation.
