Man Behind Windsor Terrace, Kensington Gunpoint Robberies Gets 31 Years In Prison: DA

Justin Farrow, of Bed-Stuy, followed women at night and attacked them in the neighborhoods, prosecutors said.

WINDSOR TERRACE AND KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A man who was convicted of following women around Windsor Terrace and Kensington and robbing them at gunpoint will spend 31 years behind bars for his crimes, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office.

Justin Farrow, 31, of Bed-Stuy, was sentenced by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Deborah Dowling on Monday to the 31-year prison term along with five years of post-release supervision for his acts which spanned nine days in August of 2015, the D.A.'s office said.

"For more than a week, this defendant preyed upon vulnerable women walking alone at night, robbing and terrorizing them at gunpoint," Acting Brooklyn District Attorney Gonzalez said in a press release. "Such cowardly acts of violence have no place on the streets of Brooklyn. Today’s sentence ensures that this defendant will be off of our streets and in prison for a very long time."

Four days after that, at about 12:50 a.m., Farrow took $25 and cellphone from a 28-year-old woman at Ocean Parkway and Caton Avenue, police said. The alleged robbery he was acquitted of happened 20 minutes after that.

Finally, two days later, he flashed his gun at a 21-year-old woman at East 19th Street and Seely Street, police said, and made off with her phone, Metrocard and $50.

When police caught him, he was carrying the stolen Metrocards and was wearing the same shirt he was seen wearing on surveillance video during the attacks, according to the district attorney's office.
