Taser-Wielding Man Threatens Murder Outside Kensington Mosque, Police Say

"Why you doing Ramadan, motherf---er?" he reportedly shouted. "Next time I see you I'm going to kill you."

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn man threatened to kill another who was walking out of a Kensington mosque on Friday, according to police and reports.

Kevin Keating, 27, was charged with a hate crime for pointing a Taser at the other man as he was leaving the mosque early Friday morning, the NYPD told Patch.

"You f---ing Muslim," Keating said, according to the New York Daily News. "Why you doing Ramadan, motherf---er? Next time I see you I’m going to kill you."

Keating confronted the man outside of a mosque on East Second Street near Albemarle Road in Kensington, according to the NYPD.

Keating said, "Come here" and flashed the Taser at the man so sparks flew, the Daily News reported. He didn't do anything else though, and walked away before being arrested, according to the News.

He was arrested and charged with menacing and harassment, police said.
