Man Who Robbed, Assaulted Women In Windsor Terrace And Kensington Faces 100+ Years In Prison

Justin Farrow will be sentenced in July.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — A man who assaulted and robbed women who were walking alone in Windsor Terrace and Kensington faces more than 100 years in prison for his crimes, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.

Justin Farrow, from Bed-Stuy, was convicted last week of four gunpoint robberies that happened in August of 2015, the office said. When he was arrested, he was charged in connection with five robberies; he was acquitted of one of them.

His first victim was a 54-year-old woman at Caton Avenue and East Seventh Street on August 20 around 2 a.m., police said. He stuck her up and made off with $60, jewelry and a cellphone, police said. Three days later, he pulled a gun on a 35-year-old woman who was leaving the Fort Hamilton F train stop just after midnight and took her cellphone, $45 and a gift card, according to police.

Four days after that, at about 12:50 a.m., Farrow took $25 and cellphone from a 28-year-old woman at Ocean Parkway and Caton Avenue, police said. The alleged robbery he was acquitted of happened 20 minutes after that.

Finally, two days later, he flashed his gun at a 21-year-old woman at East 19th Street and Seeley Avenue, police said, and made off with her phone, Metrocard and $50.

Farrow was convicted of four counts of first-degree robbery, one count of second-degree assault, one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and and one count of criminal possession of stolen property.

Farrow faces up to 25 years for each robbery count alone and is looking at more than 100 years in prison total, a spokeswoman for the D.A.'s office told Patch.

"This defendant preyed on vulnerable women walking alone, robbing them at gunpoint and leaving them terrorized," acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement. "He will now likely spend the rest of his life in prison."
