Hear From NYPD Neighborhood Officers Friday

Community officers for Windsor Terrace and South Slope will hear from the public at a Friday meeting.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — NYPD officer's from the 72nd Precinct who patrol Windsor Terrace and South Slope will hear from the community Friday at a public meeting.

Police Officers Francis Ghanney and Daniel McGrath will be available Friday, March 27 at Bishop Ford High School on 19th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues.

The community is invited to "voice your concerns, complaints, and tell us about conditions that you may be dealing with," according to an announcement from the precinct.

The officers also "will be updating the community about crime and other conditions we address and are currently combating to date."

Under a new "community policing" model instituted by the NYPD last year, each NYPD precinct is divided into four quadrants. Two Neighborhood Coordination Officers, or NCOs, are then assigned to spend nearly all their time in each quadrant.

The NCOs hold their own community meetings and hand out department-issued cell phone numbers and email addresses to locals.

Ghanny and McGrath are from "Sector A" of the 72nd precinct, which includes Windsor Terrace and South Slope.
