Watch: Kitten Stolen From Kensington Bodega, Report Says

"A lot of people miss the cat. They can't believe it."

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — An adorable kitten was reportedly stolen from a Kensington bodega — and the thief in question was caught on camera in the act.

The kitten was brought into Moon Mini Mart to help with a mouse infestation at the shop, on the corner of Church Avenue and East Seventh Street, according to the Brooklyn Paper.

Takela, which the paper says is pronounced like "tequila," was loved by the locals for her friendly attitude. And they were heartbroken when she was swiped from the bodega earlier this month by a woman who said she was from Queens, the Brooklyn Paper reported.

A call by Patch to the store went unanswered, and an answering machine wasn't available. We'll update this post if we hear back from the bodega.

Brooklyn Paper also got surveillance footage that Kasham says shows the thief in the act.
