Weekend Weather: Progressively Sunnier

Yes, it's summer, but this being New York, there's no telling what the wily weather will do over the weekend.

Poor weather is nearly guaranteed in the winter months, but we'd hate for you to make extensive beach plans, only to see them cancelled by an unexpected thunderstorm.

So each week this summer, Patch will keep you abreast of the weather with information from the National Weather Service.

Friday: The wet weather will continue into the evening, with light rain likely between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. A low of 65 degrees means you may finally be able to give the A/C a needed break.

Saturday: Clouds will be mixed with sun on Saturday, with a high near 81 degrees. The evening will be partly cloudy, with lows in the high 60s.

Sunday: The sun is expected to have fully re-emerged by Sunday, with a high near 83 degrees. A gentle wind will hopefully provide some relief from the heat. The evening will be mostly cloudy, with lows around 70 degrees.
