Windsor Terrace Cops Warn Of Car Break-Ins

Several break-ins were reported near Windsor Place and Fuller Place.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — Authorities in Windsor Terrace are reminding people in the neighborhood to keep their car doors locked at all times after they arrested a man who broke into several vehicles over the weekend.

The NYPD's 72nd Precinct, whose jurisdiction includes Windsor Terrace and Sunset Park, sent an email out to residents with news of the break-ins. Officer Danny McGrath wrote that the man was checking car door handles near Windsor Place and Fuller Place and was arrested Sunday morning in possession of stolen property.

The email was posted on the Park Slope Parents Facebook page and KARMABrooklyn, a neighborhood blog in Windsor Terrace.

The email reads:

On April 30th at Approximately 8:00am officers from the 72 Pct. arrested a male for breaking into several cars in the vicinity of Windsor Pl & Fuller Pl. The male was observed checking car door handles for unlocked vehicles. He was arrested in possession of stolen property from some of the vehicles. PLEASE LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS.
