Woman Hit, Mugged In Windsor Terrace

Authorities say this man pushed a 23-year-old woman to the ground and took her purse and cellphone.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — Authorities are searching for a man who they say beat and mugged a 23-year-old woman in Windsor Terrace over the weekend.

The woman was in front of a home on Vanderbilt Street, near 20th street, when the man walked up behind her, elbowed her in the face and pushed her to the ground, police said.

He took her purse and cell phone and ran off, but eventually dropped the purse as he was escaping, police said. The woman was treated at Lutheran Hospital.

The man, pictured above, is described by police as a black male about 20 to 25 years old. He has "black braided hair" and was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt, dark-colored jeans and black shoes, according to police.
