• Suffolk Police Monitoring, Stepping Up Patrols After Mass Shooting In Australia On Hanukkah (patch.com) — Suffolk police based in Yaphank say there are no known local threats but have increased patrols around religious institutions following a deadly Hanukkah shooting in Australia. Officials are staying in close contact with other law enforcement agencies and Jewish community leaders, and they’re urging Yaphank and county residents to immediately report any suspicious activity by calling 911.
